OBITUARY Doris Louise Borgan November 25, 1928 – August 1, 2018 Play Tribute Movie Doris Louise Borgan, age 89, passed away and entered the Kingdom of Heaven on August 1, 2018 after a brief illness while living at The Belmont Village Hunters Creek in Houston, Texas. Doris was born on November 25, 1928 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin to Oscar and Signe Anderson, with sisters Eleanor and Nancy. Doris attended Luther Mayo in Eau Claire where she received an RN degree and completed her nurses’ training at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois.

Doris married her high school sweetheart, Richard L. (Dick) Borgan on December 26, 1950 and moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma where Dick was enrolled in the petroleum engineering department at the University of Tulsa. Doris and Dick celebrated their sixty-seventh wedding anniversary in December 2017. Doris, who was totally devoted to her family, was a godly wife and mother, who loved Jesus with all of her heart.

She took several mission trips to China, Israel and Russia and was very involved in International Mission Ministries. Doris is predeceased by her husband, Dick, her parents, and her sister Eleanor Platt. She is survived by her sister and brother in law, Nancy and Jim Merkel, sons and daughter in laws, Marc and Pauline Borgan, Jeffrey and Kathie Borgan, Paul and Christie Borgan, and daughter Kristine White.

She also has ten grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren to cherish her memory. The family will receive guests for a time of visitation from 5:30 – 7:00 pm on Monday, August 6, 2018 at the Earthman Funeral Directors in Houston, Texas. A funeral will be held on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at the Earthman Funeral Directors in Houston, Texas at 1:00 pm, with Ron Heidebrecht of Grace Fellowship located in Georgetown, Texas, officiating.

FAMILY Doris is predeceased by her husband, Dick, her parents, and her sister Eleanor Platt. She is survived by her sister and brother in law, Nancy and Jim Merkel, sons and daughter in laws, Marc and Pauline Borgan, Jeffrey and Kathie Borgan, Paul and Christie Borgan, and daughter Kristine White.
