OBITUARY Doris Marie Magness June 25, 1927 – August 24, 2018 Beloved mom, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Doris Marie Magness, age 91, of Conroe, Texas passed away peacefully at the Woodlands Manor Nursing Home in Conroe, Texas on Friday August 24, 2018. Doris was born June 25, 1927 in Houston, Texas. She was a longtime resident of Houston and was the widow of World War II veteran; Maurice E. Magness.

Doris was a member of Wildwood Baptist Church in Magnolia, Texas, where she and Maurice retired. She had a career in banking for Post Oak and Greenway Plaza Banks. Doris had a passion for gardening, sewing, fishing and cooking.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband; Maurice E. Magness, daughter; Vicky Kathleen Samuel, and sister; Loraine Hitt. Doris is survived by sister, Jeanene Hart; son, John Magness; four grandchildren, Jamie Szepe, Hunter Magness, Christopher Samuel, Scott Samuel, two great-grandchildren, Michael Szepe and Liam Magness. A celebration of life for Doris will be held Thursday, August 30, 2018 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home, 18000 Interstate 45 S, The Woodlands, TX 77384.

A burial will occur Thursday, August 30, 2018 at 3:15 PM at Forest Park The Woodlands Cemetery. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www. forestparkthewoodlands.com for the Magness family.
