Doris R. Collar, 97, of Sherrett, died on Thursday Sept. 20, 2018, in Chicora Medical Center. She was born on Aug.

25, 1921, in Sherrett, to the late Robert and Pearl (Foster) Hornberger. Doris drove bus for many years for MCTA and was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Adrian. She enjoyed bowling and quilting.

Doris leaves behind to cherish her memory, three sons, Russ and Shirley Collar, Walter “Cheese” Collar, and Harry Michael “Flea” (Karen Anderson) Collar; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Collar; grandson, Bryan Collar; brothers, Wilmer and Paul Hornberger; and sister, Ethel Lasher. Family and friends will be received on Sunday, Sept.

23, 2018, from 1-3 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. in the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 832 East Brady Road, Cowansville, where there will be additional viewing on Monday, Sept. 24, 2018, from 10 a.m. until time of funeral services at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Debbie Marshall officiating.

Burial will follow in Worthington Lutheran Cemetery.
