OBITUARY Dorotea H. Alvarado September 11, 1940 – January 21, 2019 Dorotea H. Alvarado entered into eternal rest on Monday, January 21, 2019 at her residence in Falfurrias, Texas at the age of 78. She was born on September 11, 1940 to Tiburcio Hernandez and Prajedis Benavidez Hernandez in Encino, Texas. Dorotea was a clerk for the United States Postal Service in Chicago and McAllen for over 30 years until her retirement.

She loved her job with the post office as well as sewing. She was a devoted and loving wife to her husband, Angel and an extraordinary mother to her only daughter, Dora. Dorotea is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Angel Alvarado and her daughter, Dora Alicia Alvarado.

She is survived by her sister, Maria Rita Galindo of Encino, Texas; nieces and caregiver, Maria Elena (Rogelio) Salinas of Falfurrias and several nieces and nephews who all will miss her dearly.
