Obituary for Dorothy Beatrice Ewer (Lundquist) Dorothy Beatrice Ewer, 78, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 18, 2018, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Highbridge, WI, on October 15, 1939, she was 1 of 16 children of the late Erick T. and Cecelia (Carbon) Lundquist. On December 11, 1956, she married Forrest E. Ewer, Sr. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Ashland, WI.

He preceded her in death on June 8, 2007. Dorothy worked for 35 years as a nurse’s assistant at both St. Catherine’s and Kenosha Memorial Hospitals. She enjoyed camping, cookouts, baking, planting vegetables and flowers, feeding her birds, and winning big at the casino.

Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She will be remembered and loved by all. Survivors include her four daughters, Lynn M. Anderson of Kenosha, Sharon A. (Mike Nelson) Kellogg of Racine, Ericka Bernhardt of Kenosha, and Janet (Todd) Pickos of Kenosha; four sisters, Helen, Hazel, Carol (Andy), and Karen; a brother, Franklin; 10 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Forrest E. Ewer, Jr.; two granddaughters, Amanda Lea Ewer-Pickos and Jenniffer A. Bernhardt; and 10 siblings. Dorothy’s family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Hull, Dr. Fullen, and Dr. Habel, all the staff at Kenosha Medical Center 3 Palmer, ICU and Emergency room, and Hospice Alliance for all of the kind and compassionate care they gave her. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 22nd, at Proko Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 23rd, at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
