Dorothy “Dot” Nell Ivy Carpenter, age 91, of Crossett, AR, passed away on May 20, 2019. She was born to Drucilla McCall Ivy and James Ivy on February 12, 1928 in Lufkin, TX. Dot has been a resident of Crossett, AR since 1955.

She worked as a loan officer at Georgia Pacific Employees Federal Credit Union when it had only three employees. In addition to her parents, Dot is preceded in death by her husband, S.J. Carpenter; one son, Jamie Carpenter and one brother, James Ivy. Left to cherish her memory is her son, Robert Jay Carpenter; daughter, Jan Matteson; six grandchildren, Jessica Carpenter, Mike Carpenter, Barbie Townsend (Billy), Jamie Wallesch, Andy Matteson, and Daniel Matteson; three great-grandchildren, Jesse Harrington (Brittani), Adam Townsend and Luke Wallesch and a host of friends and loved ones.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel at 3:00pm. Visitation will begin at 2:00, one hour prior to the service. Keith Boseman will be officiating.

Interment will be at Pinewood Memorial Park.
