OBITUARY Dorothy “Dottie” Jean McCammon December 7, 1926 – September 16, 2018 Dorothy Jean “Dottie” McCammon went to heaven on September 16, 2018. Dottie was born in Houston, Texas, worked as a model and actress in Hollywood, and a Home Interiors representative. She was a proud Air Force wife who was a scout troupe leader and American Red Cross volunteer.

Dottie was a beloved sister, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be dearly missed. Dottie was preceded in death by her parents, George Risner and Mary Kneupper; her husbands, James Lugar and Billy “Mac” McCammon; and her sisters, Fay Shumway and Jean Wilcox. She is survived by her siblings, Shirley Beckham, Nancy Thomas, Linda Jody, and George Risner; her children, Michael and Cheryl Lugar, Karen Lugar, Tim and Jordana McCammon, Garry and Jacqui Lugar, Rex and JoAnna McCammon, 8 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.

The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 20th at 3:00 pm at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Flowers are welcomed but donations in Dottie’s memory may be given to the Fisher House Program; JBSA; 2748 Worth Rd; Ste. 22; Fort Sam Houston, TX 78234.

FAMILY She is survived by her siblings, Shirley Beckham, Nancy Thomas, Linda Jody, and George Risner; her children, Michael and Cheryl Lugar, Karen Lugar, Tim and Jordana McCammon, Garry and Jacqui Lugar, Rex and JoAnna McCammon, 8 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.
