Dorothy “Dottie” L. Lund, 83 years old, passed away at 6:05 a.m. on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at her home. Dottie was born on February 5, 1936 in Ward, WV to the late Oscar “Red” and Violet Marie (Hackworth) Akers. She has lived in Lakeville for the past 44 years.

Dottie retired in 2000 after fifteen years of employment at Bremen Glass. Dottie is survived by her four children, Anita L. Parent of Wisconsin, Rose Marie (Rick) Schneider of California, Debbie (Charles) Kring of Plymouth, and Mike (Becky) Lund of South Bend; nine grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren. Dottie was preceded in death by her four sisters, Ruby Wilkeson, Patty Crumb, Delores Nagle, and Wanda Tibbs.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 17, 2019 at the Palmer Funeral Home, within the Palmer Community Complex, 601 N. Michigan Street, Lakeville, IN. Graveside services and burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Dorothy L. Lund may be donated to Palmer Funeral Home, 3718 S. Michigan Street, South Bend, IN 46614. Online condolences may be offered to the Lund family at www. palmerfuneralhomes.com.
