Obituary for Dorothy E. Corsey- Sundo Dorothy E. (Corsey) Sundo on July 14, 2018 nee Carter of Mt. Ephraim, NJ age 99. Our family matriarch, formerly of South Phila.

passed away at home peacefully surrounded by her family and lots of love. As a young girl, she developed a love for baseball. Dorothy was the pitcher for “Grays Ferry Maids” girls softball team and as a result, became a devoted Phillies fan.

The South Philly String Band was near and dear to her heart. She always enjoyed going to the Golden Nugget Casino where she was an Elite card member and was treated like gold. Mom was a retired sales associate for John Wanamaker’s in Phila.

She loved her family dearly and will be missed always. Dorothy was preceded in death by her loving parents Charles and Emma Carter. Beloved wife of the late Anthony W. Corsey, Sr. and the love of her life, Frank D. Sundo.

Beloved mother of Elizabeth L. DiRuocco. Predeceased by her loving son, Anthony W. “Sonny” Corsey, Jr. (surviving wife, Rory Corsey), her loving daughters, the late Kathleen (Bill) Jones, Emma (surviving husband, George Slobodjian), Dorothy (Bob) Jackson. 14 Grandchildren 22 Great Grandchildren 8 Great Great Grandchildren.

Also surviving her beloved sister, Myrtle Ulmer (the late George). Predeceased by brothers and sisters, Helen, Charles C., and her infant brother, Charles L. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral Monday, July 23 starting 9AM at MAHAFFEY – MILANO Funeral Home, 11 E. Kings Highway, Mt. Ephraim.

Religious services 10:30 AM at the funeral home. Interment Brig. Gen.
