Dorothy Eloise (Smith) Middlebrook Dorothy Eloise (Smith) Middlebrook was born August 29, 1923 at Graham, Oklahoma to the late Mr. John Henry Smith and Mrs. Edna Elizabeth (McManus) Smith. She departed this life Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Corinth Rehabilitation Suites in Corinth, TX at the age of 94 years, 7 months, and 26 days. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Funeral Home in Wilson.

Eloise was raised in the Graham area and lived in Healdton most of her life. She married Mr. Leonard Dennis Middlebrook on March 30, 1946 in Gainesville, TX. Together they made their home in Healdton and raised their three children there.

She moved to Ardmore in 2006 and then later moved to Denton in 2010 after her husband’s death to be near her daughter, Pat Mrs. Middlebrook worked in housekeeping at the Healdton Hospital for 23 years. Her greatest enjoyment in life was being a homemaker and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a loving mother and granny.

Mrs. Middlebrook was known for her weekly batch of peanut butter cookies she would bake for Leonard. Eloise always looked forward to the yearly family reunions, where she would visit and share 94 years of family memories. She spent many hours bird watching and had her room decorated in a bird theme.

Preceding her in death were her Parents; husband, Leonard Dennis Middlebrook on March 29, 2010; a infant child; and a grandaughter, Leesa Fernandez, and 9 siblings. Mrs. Middlebrook is survived by her daughters, Reba Cook of Houston, TX, and Pat Williams of Denton, TX; a son, Hack Middlebrook of Ardmore; brother, Billy D. Smith of Healdton; grandchildren, Michael Williams of Chicago, IL, Steven Williams of Krugerville, TX, and Jason Williams of Houston, TX; great-grandchildren, Lyndsey, Blake, Isaac, Haley, Taylor, Parker, and Grey; great great-grandchildren, Layla, Emma, and Logan; Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Visitation will be from 10A.M. to 12P.M. on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Alexander Funeral Home in Wilson.
