Dorothy M. Fruth, age 92, passed away peacefully at Vernon Memorial Healthcare in Viroqua on February 12th, 2019. She was born on May 24th, 1926 to Ole and Anita Bolstad. She attended Buck Creek Country School in rural De Soto.

On April 2nd, 1946 she married George Fruth. She was a wonderful mother and home maker. She loved music, camping, fishing, and playing cards, especially Yahtzee.

She also loved crocheting and flowers. Being born and raised by the river, she loved to fish. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her children Judy Johnson of Onalaska, Linda (Wayne) Jacboson of De Soto, Terry (Dianne) of De Soto, Rick Fruth of De Soto, Steve Fruth of Ferryville, and Mike (Jeanine) Fruth of De Soto. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She is further survived my many other family, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband George Fruth; a son Dennis Fruth; as well as many other family and friends. A graveside memorial service will be held in the spring at the Walnut Mound Cemetery in Retreat and will be announced. Online condolences may be left for the family by visiting www.
