Dorothy I. Voegele, age 82, of Faribault, MN, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2019 at the District One Hospital in Faribault. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the Maple Lawn Cemetery in Faribault. Arrangements are with the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault.

Dorothy Irene was born February 27, 1937 in Faribault to Alfred and Theresa (Stone) Ress. She graduated from Faribault High School with the class of 1955. Dorothy married Walter Voegele on August 29, 1959 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Faribault.

He preceded her in death on January 4, 1996. Dorothy helped on the farm, raised three boys, and worked as a caretaker at an assisted living facility for 13 years. She enjoyed socializing with the other tenants at Robinwood Manor where she lived for the past 22 years.

She is survived by her sons, Gregory Voegele of Pennsylvania, Jeffery Voegele of Morristown, MN, and Mark Voegele of Corona, CA; six grandchildren; siblings, Marlene Ress of Faribault, Elaine Dibble of Owatonna, Delores Schneider of Morristown, and Norman Ress of Faribault; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter; parents, Alfred and Theresa; and four brothers, Marvin, Raymond, Donald, and Harold Ress.
