OBITUARY Dorothy Lorraine Miner June 24, 1917 – September 6, 2018 On Thursday, September 6, 2018, our beloved mother suddenly passed. She was living out her normal daily routine of walking and socializing with other residents at Vintage/Sunrise in San Jose, California where she resided for the past 4 1/2 years. Dorothy was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years and our beloved father, Ralph L. Miner; sister Evelyn M. Morini and brother Robert J. Morini.

Dorothy is survived by her son, Kim L. Miner and his wife Carol Sue of Aptos, CA; daughter Lori A. Hall and her husband Clifton of Spirit Lake, ID. ; Grandchildren, Lynn, Christen, Dawn, Kim, Shane, Scott and Michael. Great Grandchildren Joshua and Matthew.

Although we miss her, we are blessed that she did not suffer. Dorothy was very active and brought a bright light to the residents where she spent her last years. One of mom’s favorite past times was filling and helping process shoebox gifts for Operation Christmas Child.

These special boxes reach lost and hurting children all over the world, putting a smile on their faces and hope in their hearts. There will be a private family graveside service. We are planning a memorial service at a later date at Vintage/Sunrise Senior Living.
