Dorothy Louise Longwell, age 65, of Morgantown, WV and formerly of Ellenville, NY, passed away Tuesday evening, June 26, 2018 at JW Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. She was born November 2, 1952 in Ellenville and was a daughter of the late Edward and Ruth (Conklin) Mansfield. Survivors include her two children, Charles B. Longwell, Jr. of Grant Town, WV and Candace McFarland and her husband John of Morgantown; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Ruth Hemion and her husband Raymond of Ellenville, NY, Iris Mansfield of Binghamton, NY and Candace DePuy of Ellenville, NY.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles B. Longwell, Sr.; and her siblings Edward Mansfield, Jr., Lester Mansfield, Delia Mansfield, Melvin Mansfield and Sharon Cherry. Dorothy was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church in Ellenville, as well as the Kimble Hose Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Spending time with her family was very important to her.

She was a selfless lady who only wanted the very best for everyone around her. Mrs. Longwell’s request for cremation has been honored by her family. A memorial service will be held at the Shiloh Baptist Church in Ellenville on Friday, July 6th at 12 Noon.

After the service, a gathering for family and friends will be held at the church with light snacks and refreshments. followed by Dorothy’s inurnment at 3 PM in the Fantinekill Cemetery. Professional services have been provided to the family with the guidance of Smith Funeral & Cremation Care of Morgantown, WV.
