Obituary for Dorothy Mae Kiliany Dorothy Mae Kiliany (nee Swink), age 88, of Eastlake, Ohio, passed peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones on June 30, 2018. She was born in Everson, PA on September 28, 1929, to the late Homer and Leona Swink (Breakiron). Dorothy was a devoted and loving spouse to John E. Kiliany Sr., whom she lost in December of 2016 after 60 years of marriage.

She and John moved to Eastlake in 1959 and lived joyfully in the same home for their remaining years together. Dorothy was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. Her grandchildren were her delight.

Dorothy was an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians. She enjoyed camping with her family and relaxing on the beach. She got pleasure from her vegetable and flower gardens.

Dorothy was a devout Catholic, and her life a testimony to her love for God. She was a proud, founding parishioner of St. Justin Martyr Church. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Euclid Post 343.

Dorothy will be deeply missed by all that knew her. Dorothy is survived by her children, Janice (Steve) Serdio, Paula (Alvin) Blott, John (Sue) Kiliany, Linda (Tim) Mason, and Pam (Jack) Matchett; grandchildren Stephanie, Jared (Terry), Zach (Staci), Ashley (Kyle), Celeste (Adam), Aaron, Brittany (Doug), Katie (Josh), Jamie, Heather, Ryan and Emily, many nieces and nephews and cherished in-laws. In addition to her husband, John, Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Violet Swink, Betty McLaughlin and Jerry Swink.

The Kiliany Family wishes to extend sincere gratitude to Hospice of the Western Reserve for the compassionate care and comfort provided to Dorothy. They would also like to thank Cherished Companions for the support and helping hands given to Dorothy throughout this time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am on Friday, July 6, 2018 at St. Justin Martyr Church, 35781 Stevens Blvd, Eastlake, OH 44095; followed by Interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Painesville, OH 44077.

Visitation will be on Thursday, July 5 from 4 to 8pm at the Monreal Funeral Home, 35400 Curtis Blvd, Eastlake, OH 44095. The family suggests donations be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave. , Cleveland, OH 44110.
