Dorothy Bernhard, 83, of Lowell, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at her home. Dorothy was born on March 26, 1936 in Beecher, Illinois, the daughter of Walter and Bertha (nee Bruns) Meier. Dorothy was member of St. John Lutheran Church.

She worked as a loan officer for First Community Bank and Trust in Beecher. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting, cooking, and baking. Surviving Dorothy is her daughter Brenda (Jerome) Johnson and four grandchildren Ashley, David, James, and Tyler; three great grandchildren Ezra, Aaron, and Emma.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Clifford; her parents; brothers Willard and Lawrence Meier; sister Norma Brands; and grandchild Aaron. Visitation will be held Saturday, May 11, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to noon at St. John Lutheran Church. The funeral service will be at noon with Reverend Joel Dietrich officiating.

In lieu of flower, memorials may be directed to the donor’s choice.
