Dorothy Mercer November 17, 1932 – May 06, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| View Guestbook Entries| Send Sympathy Card Dorothy Mercer, age 86, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Monday, (May 6, 2019) at Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield, KY. She was born on November 17, 1932, the daughter of the late Paul Butler “Dad” and Mae Butler Langley. She worked as a seamstress who enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening, and was a member of the Church of Joy.

She is survived by her sons, Gary Mercer (Vickie) and Keith Mercer (Melissa) of Leitchfield; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brothers, Preston and Tony; sisters, Betty and Barbara; daughter in law, Deloris Mercer (Steve). Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Mercer, and her two sons, Barry and Steve. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, (May 9, 2019) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield.

Bro. Nathan Lowe will be officiating. Burial will be in the Duff Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. on Thursday until time of services.
