Dorothy Radtke 90 of Peru died Saturday, February 16 at the LaSalle County Nursing Home. A memorial mass will be 10:00 AM Saturday, February 23 at Nativity of Our Lord Church in Spring Valley. The Rev.

Scott Potthoff will officiate. Burial will be in the Peru City Cemetery. Cremation rites have been accorded.

Ptak Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements. Dorothy was born August 19, 1928, in Union MO to Victor and Buena (Alexander)Chase. She married T. William (Bill) Radtke on September 14, 1946, in St Mary Church in Peru.

Dorothy worked at Westclox. She was a member of the LaSalle VFW Auxiliary and the Platter Club. She served as a Democratic election judge for LaSalle County for several years.

She and her husband Bill enjoyed camping at Condit’s Ranch. Dorothy loved to read, and most of all spending time with her family. Dorothy is survived by her daughter Celeste (Joe) Nagle of Spring Valley, sons Mike (Jean) Radtke of Peru and Mark (Lisa) Radtke of Peru and her daughter in law Barb Radtke of Springfield, 12 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bill and son Ted, 3 sisters and 2 brothers. Dorothy’s family would like to thank everyone at the LaSalle County Nursing Home for their kindness and dedicated care. Please, direct memorials to the LaSalle County Nursing Home activity department.
