Dorothy Theresa Fern October 19, 1929- November 8, 2018 Mishawaka-Dorothy Theresa Fern, 89, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed on Thursday November after a short battle with cancer. Dorothy Graduated from South Bend Beauty College. Dorothy was the owner operator of the Wig Fair Downtown South Bend.

She loved watching Notre Dame Football and trips to the casino with family. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, George Fern; her parents, John and Mary Nowak, brother, Johnny Nowak; daughter, Judy Stoll, and son-in-law, Jack Stoll. Survivors include sons, Darrel Grabner (Linda), Randy (Gwen); step son, Tom Fern; grandchildren, Brian Grabner, Stacy Smith, Kelly Tranberg, Kim Porter, Kevin Stoll, Jamie Fern, Chelsey Fern and Patrick Fern; great grandchildren, Ashley Van Oosterum, Austin Fair, Katie Stanage, Michael Porter, Ryan Grabner; great great-grandchildren, Carter and Collin Van Oosterum.

The family would like to thank hospice and friends and family who helped comfort Dorothy. Funeral services will be held on Monday November 12th at 12 noon , with visitation one hour prior, at Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. Burial will follow in Fairview cemetery Mishawaka In Lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made in her name to St. Joseph County Humune socitey.
