Dorothy’s Obituary MURPHYSBORO – Dorothy M. Zimmerman, 88, of Winnsboro, Texas, and formerly of Murphysboro passed away Thursday, May 2, 2019 at the Autumn Winds of Winnsboro. Dorothy was born on November 25, 1930, in Jacob, Illinois the daughter of Rolla and Eula (Ditch) Wright. She married Charles J. Zimmerman on February 9, 1951, in Murphysboro, and they shared 46 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on April 25, 1997.

Dorothy was a homemaker and a member of the Ava Presbyterian Church. Dorothy is survived by 2 grandsons; Richard Hill, and Shaun Zimmerman, 2 granddaughters; April Giulvezan, and Dawn Hill, 6 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother; Duke (Bonnie) Wright, of Willisville.

Mrs. Zimmerman was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and 4 children. Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon Saturday, May 11, 2019, at the Wilson’s Funeral Home in Ava. Burial will follow at the Ava Evergreen Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Saturday morning at the funeral home where friends may call from 10 to 12 noon. Memorials may be made to the Myotonic Dystrophy Foundation.
