Dorothy Marie Giasson, a faith-filled woman, was born in Kansas City, KS on March 8, 1920, the 10th of 11 children. Dorothy passed from this life on October 14, 2018. She graduated from Holy Cross High School, attended business school before she moved to Chicago, IL, where she worked in accounting.

While in Chicago, she attended a 1940’s Big Band dance where she met Frank Giasson and they married in 1943. They were blessed with five children, Sue Tarr (Tom), Sandy Giasson-Caudill (Phil), Diane Giasson, David Giasson (Donna), and Marilyn Giasson-Fenker (Rich), eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, all of whom survive her. The family moved to Oklahoma in 1960.

Dorothy loved playing and watching sports, card games, especially bridge, which she played brilliantly until her passing. She was an avid tennis player and golfer, which she played until she was 93, having “shot her age” several times, while in her 80’s! But mostly, she enjoyed being with her family.

She was always ready to play card or board games, and her grandchildren grew up spending lots of time at Grandma’s house.
