Dortha Jean Fisher Joley August 23, 1923 – March 6, 2019 Born August 15, 1923 to Vern H. fisher and Ruth E. Bartholomew in the William Connor House, Fishers, Indiana. Vern was the Farm manager for the Connor Prairie Farm, which is now an active History Museum. In 1933, Eli Lily (Pharmaceutical’s) purchased the property, and Vern continued to run the farm until his death in 1942.

In her teen years, Dortha was a docent for the Brick House Museum. She graduated in 1943 from Stephens college, Columbia, Mo. During WWII she met her handsome Army Airforce P-38 pilot, Jack D. Joley, whom she married March 23, 1946.

Together, they embarked on a rich life of travel, friends, stationed all over the U.s., Germany, and Japan. Settling in Highland, California. Lt.

Col Jack D. Joley (ret) preceded her in death in 2008. She leaves behind their son, Craig D. Joley, his wife Christine. Grandchildren, Jennie Jean Joley Azzarella (Mike), Eric H. Rey (Dawn), and Great-Grandchildren Oliva, Sophia, and Ivan.
