Dortha “Dot” K. Smeal, 90 of Greensburg, passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2018 in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital. She was born November 4, 1927 in Khedive, PA, the daughter of the late S. Lawrence and Loreen (Yoders) Kerr. Dot was a member of Westminister Presbyterian Chuch.

She was also a member of the OES #213, and the OES William E. Gelston #435 Chapters. Dot belonged to the Hannastown Ladies Golf League for over 25 years. She enjoyed traveling abroad with her husband.

Dot was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and was always there for her family. She was a positive person and always had a smile on her face. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Charles “Chuck” Smeal; her brother, Lawrence L. Kerr; and beloved grandson, Ryan J. Lute.

Dot is survived by her children, Pamela Jo Smeal, of Greensburg, Lindy Lute (Jeffrey), of Stahlstown, and Charles J. Smeal II, of Pymatuning Lake; granddaughter, Jamie Bizup (Daniel); and great grandson, Devon Bizup. Family and friends will be received from 2-4 pm and 6-8pm on Friday at KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME, 524 N. Main St., Greensburg. Dot’s funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10:30am in the funeral home with the Rev.

Donna Havrisko officiating. The family respectfully asks that no flowers be sent to the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1120 Harvey Ave.
