OBITUARY Doug Cole October 24, 1926 – December 10, 2018 Cole, Douglas George Age 92 of Anoka. Died December 10th attended by the able staff of Walker Plaza & Moments Hospice. Served his country in WWII as a Navy Radio Technician on the USS Cacapon.

Returned to Duluth, MN to help start & run first color TV station there. Married Lola Cole (deceased ’14) in 1955. Together raised 3 surviving Children, Scott (Stephanie) Cole, Lee Cole, Jill (Bill) Mesaros; Also Grandchildren, Lauren Cole (Max Arndt), Danielle Cole, Jared (Jillian) Hedlund, Jordan (Allen); Sister Ileen Mattson; Brothers-in-law Harvey (Kathy) Sedgwick, Larry Sedgwick.

Servant leader in his church (Anoka UCC), and community. Cub & Boy Scout leader, confirmation teacher, marriage equality advocate. Ran a family wireless telecom business for many years, then retired to travel the country via RV’s (many 🙂 with Lola.

Always social, loved games & having fun with family ‘til the end. ~Memorial Service~ Sunday, December 30, 2018 at Anoka UCC, 1923 N 3rd Ave. Visitation 2:30, service 3pm, reception to follow.
