Doug Brown, 73, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 13, 2018. He was the son of Jack and Delsa Brown. He was a graduate of Fairmount High School then worked at RCA.

He later went into the Army and served in Vietnam. Upon returning, he worked for General Motors for 30 years. He loved fishing, sports cars, Nascar, hockey, football, and was always telling jokes.

He enjoyed spending time with his friends having fun. He loved his family very much. Doug is survived by his brother, Ron Brown, Fairmount; sister, Louretta Brown, Fairmount; half-brother, Mike (Lynn) Brown and family, Salt Lake City, UT; nephews Derek Brown and family, Marion, and Tyler Brown, FL; great-nephews Gabriel and Holden Brown, Marion; and aunts, uncles, and cousins of Maryville, TN.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Delsa Brown. In accordance with Doug’s wishes, cremation will take place and a graveside service will take place at a later date, with military honors. Arrangements for Doug have been entrusted to the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 S. Main St., Fairmount, Indiana 46928.
