East Liverpool, OH. Douglas A. Beatty, 63, formerly of Chester, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 1, 2019, at the Orchards of East Liverpool where he had resided for several years following an automobile accident which resulted in severe brain trauma. A son of Lucille Swisher Beatty of East Liverpool, and the late William A. Beatty, Doug was born in East Liverpool on October 3, 1955.

At the time of Doug’s accident, he was working as a route logistics coordinator for Buckeye Publishing and the Morning Journal. He was a Baptist by faith, and he had attended Oak Glen High School. Doug’s hobby was parachuting, he had completed 51 jumps before being injured the accident.

Also, Doug was a veteran of the US Army. In addition to his father, Doug was preceded in death by one daughter, Erin Elizabeth Beatty. Doug leaves one daughter, Rebecca Sanford of Conway, Arkansas, his mother, Lucille of East Liverpool, two sisters, Terri cook and Debbie Phillips of Chester, two grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Pastor Nick Timms of the Bible Baptist Church in Wellsville will conduct services at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester on Friday, May 3 at 1:00 p.m. Private interment will follow at Columbiana County Memorial Park.
