Douglas Alfred Gray Pelahatchie, MS Douglas Alfred Gray, 88, a resident of Pelahatchie, MS passed peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, May 30, 2018. Funeral Services will be held at 1pm on Friday, June 1, 2018 at Concord Baptist Church in Pelahatchie, MS with graveside services immediately following the funeral. Visitation will be from 11am-1pm on Friday, June 1, 2018 at Concord Baptist Church in Pelahatchie, MS.

Mr. Gray was born February 2, 1930 to Otho and Lorena Gray of Pelahatchie, MS. He was a member of the Jackson Police Department where he served as Lieutenant until his retirement. Mr. Gray was also a member of the Masonic Lodge, Daniel Memorial Baptist Church and most recently Concord Baptist Church.

He enjoyed farming and spending time with family and loved ones. Mr. Gray is survived by sisters, Willie Dean Lack, Jeannie Bowman(Virgil), Gayle Pettie (Paul), Patsy Porterfield; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Gray was preceded in death by his loving wife, Dorothy Tynes Gray; parents, Otho and Lorena Gray and his sisters, Hattie Mae Means and Billie Watkins.
