Douglas E. Elrod, 65, of Ravenna passed away Sunday, March 31, 2019 at University Hospital in Cleveland. Douglas was born in Trenton, Michigan on January 17, 1954 to the late George and Nora (Coyne) Elrod. Douglas retired from Yellow Freight where he worked as a truck driver.

He was a proud union member of the Teamsters, and enjoyed riding motorcycles and golfing. Douglas is survived by his children D.J. Elrod, Hayley Elrod, Jackie Elrod, Dawn Elrod, Craig (Heather) Elrod and Marianne (Shawn) Lott, his siblings Linda O’Donnell, Sharon Guglielmino, and Valarie Klosowski, and several grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his brother Phillip Elrod.

At his request, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, May 19th, 2019 from 1pm-4pm at the Ravenna Elks Club 776 North Freedom St . Ravenna Ohio 44266.
