On April 29th of 2019 at the age of 82 Douglas (Doug) Earl Dean of Wills Point Texas has gone to do some fishing on the lakes in Heaven and to make things ready for when his beloved wife Wynona when she is ready to join him. Doug was born on the 4th day of January in the year 1937 in the town of Wright City, Oklahoma. He was the fourth son to Homer and Georgia Dean.

At the age of 20, he joined The United States Air Force, He served his country from March 18th, 1957 to March 17th, 1961. He was an Airman 3rd class and received the good conduct medal and the Air Force Longevity Service Award. While on leave he meet his one true love Miss Wynona Justus and they were married on February 27th, 1960, over the next five years they had two daughters Carol Anette and Michelle Renee.

Doug took great pride in providing for his three girls. Doug worked as a police officer in Fredrick, Oklahoma. After moving to Texas with his girls, he worked different jobs until he went to work for Ash Grove Cement Company, where he retired after many years of service.

He loved going fishing and playing softball for his church, Indian Hills Baptist in Grand Prairie, Texas, and work teams at Ash Grove. He was also on bowling teams with his friends. When he was not playing softball he was calling the games as ASA Umpire.

Doug is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mrs. Wynona Fay Dean, his oldest daughter Carol Harris and her husband Don, his youngest daughter Michelle Fecteau and her husband Vince. His grandchildren Matthew Harris and his wife Lauren, John Harris, Amanda Davis and her husband James, Richard, and Ryan Bennett. There will be a celebration of life on June 1st 2019 at the family home of Mrs. Wynona Dean from 1 till 4 pm for family and friends.

This will be a come and go event. The family would like to thank the wonderful people from the Alinea Family Hospice Care for all of help and support during the care of a wonderful husband, father, and friend, a thank you to the people from Ingram Funeral Home for making what could have been a difficult time one of ease and comfort. Mrs. Diane Cotton for all of her hard work and caring heart in the care of Doug during his last days with us here on earth, and to all of our family and friends who have been there with their love and support.
