Obituary for Douglas Eugene Cross Douglas Eugene Cross, in Elk Grove, October 29, 2018. Loving husband of 53 years to Barbara Cross (deceased) of Elk Grove. Loving husband of 7 years to Wilma Camilleri-Cross of Citrus Heights.

Beloved father of Michelle Kay Haakenson (deceased) (Ken) and Julie Renee Lucca (Domenick) all of Sacramento. Devoted grandfather of Jeremy, Joshua, Katie, Jacob, Emily and Benjamin. Devoted great-grandfather to Samuel and Sophie.

Beloved son of Vernon and Ruby Cross (deceased). Beloved brother of Ramona Kammerer, Dale Cross (deceased), Neil Cross, Janet Shannon, Dean Cross and Dwight Cross. Beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Also survived by numerous other relatives and friends. Born in Smithfield, NE on May 7, 1930, he was a Dust Bowl refugee, moving to Idaho in 1937. Eventually he moved to Sacramento in 1951, and married Barbara Bailey, Douglas and Barbara raised their two daughters on their acreage in Elk Grove.

Douglas also raised Appaloosas, baby calves, chickens and goats. Douglas worked for Bank of America for 35 years. He was an active member of Capital Christian Center and an active member of the Sons of the American Revolution.

All are welcome for visitation at Herberger Funeral Home, 9101 Elk Grove Blvd. , Elk Grove, Friday, 11/9/2018 noon-8:00pm. Funeral service will be held at Warehouse Christian Ministries, 9933 Business Park Drive, Sacramento, on Saturday, 11/10/2018, at 11:00 am.

A reception will follow at the family home. Interment services will be held 11/13/2018, at 11:00 at Hilltop Cemetery on Waterman Rd. in Elk Grove.
