Douglas’ Obituary Services for Douglas Thies, age 66, of Thorton, Colorado are pending at Biglin’s Mortuary in O’Neill, Nebraska. Doug passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2019 in Page, Nebraska. Biglin’s Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Doug was born to Robert and Wilma (Hawk) Thies on December 19, 1952 in Tilden, Nebraska. He was Baptized and Confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Buffalo Creek. He graduated from Newman Grove High School in 1971.

After graduation, he attended Milford Technical College. Doug married Pam Mimms on October 21, 1972. They had one son, Trent by adoption.

After Pam passed away, Doug married Debby Krittel. They later divorced. While living in Omaha he worked for Epson Printing.

In 1999, Doug moved to Denver to be closer to his son. In Denver he worked alongside Trent in the Construction Business. Doug found great enjoyment in woodworking.

Doug is survived by his father, Robert Thies of Tilden; son, Trent Thies of Thorton, Colorado; granddaughter, Leigha; grandsons, Cody, and Gavin; brothers, Steve Thies and Keith Thies of Norfolk, NE; sisters, Rita Nelson and husband Bruce of Greenwood, Nebraska and Gayle Mahood and husband Mike of Page, NE; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother; his first wife, Pam; and grandson, Kyle.
