Obituary for Douglas Ross Print Douglas Owen Ross 79 passed away early Saturday morning February 9th at Baptist Health Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Scotia, NY. Born in Detroit, MI, Douglas was the son of the late Owen and Marjorie (Corbin) Ross. A Vietnam era Air Force veteran, Douglas received a Masters Degree in theater from New York University.

He was a self employed master carpenter,and a former actor on the soap opera-Where the Heart is. Douglas was civil rights activist, a photographer, writer and love hiking in the outdoors. Douglas in survived by his children; Alisha A. Stevens of Rotterdam, Nathaniel D. Ross of Philadelphia and Matthew R. Ross and his wife Veronica Beswick of Rotterdam, his grandchildren; Lorelai Beswick-Ross, Giuliana Beswick-Ross,Xander Beswick-Ross and Charlotte Stevens.
