Doctor Andrew Abram Fogel, 56, of Wellington, FL passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on March 26, 2019. He was deeply loved by many and will be sincerely missed. Andrew was born in Detroit, Michigan to Gloria and Leon Fogel on March 2, 1963 and married the love of his life, Rebecca Skaggs Fogel on October 27, 2011 in Sanibel, Florida.

He graduated as salutatorian from Southfield-Lathrup High School and subsequently attended University of Michigan earning a Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Medicine. After medical school, he completed residency in diagnostic radiology at William Beaumont Hospital followed by fellowships in interventional radiology, angiography, and body imaging at the same institution. He held multiple positions as an attending radiologist, assistant professor, and fellowship director in Michigan and Florida.

As a physician, Dr. Fogel was well loved by colleagues and patients alike. Outside of work and education, Andrew participated in varsity swimming and gymnastics. He was an all-state gymnast as well as a member of the University of Michigan (UM) cheerleading team, becoming the first to do back handsprings across the entire length of UM’s football field.

He also enjoyed keeping up with current events by watching Fox News and loved spending time with family and friends. Andrew is survived by his beloved wife Rebecca Skaggs Fogel; children David Fogel, Max Fogel, Adam Fogel and Hunter Betts; brother Dr. Douglas Fogel (fiancé Christina Bentley); Aunt Joan Fox and many loving cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Dr. Leon and Gloria Fogel; daughter Rebecca Fogel; uncles George Fox, Dr. Bernie Fogel; and Aunt Alma Spickler (Dr. Larry Spickler).

Funeral Services will be held at Palms West Funeral Home in Royal Palm Beach, FL on April 10, 2019. Viewing will begin at 1PM and funeral services at 2PM. Burial will take place at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery in Royal Palm Beach following the funeral services.
