Dr. Anne C. Erikson, 86, of Morehead City passed away Thursday, November 29, 2018, at Carolina East Medical Center. The family will have a Celebration of Life at a later date. Dr. Erikson earned her PHD in Education from the University of Pittsburgh.

She was active in the community and was involved in a number of organizations that include, Board Member for Domestic Violence, President of League of Women Voters, Chair of Emerald Isle Planning Board and she also helped establish the library in Emerald Isle. She is survived by her daughters, Leslie Enscoe and husband, Rick, of Pittsburgh; Lynn Riggs and husband, Bryan, of Stella; and grandchildren, Megan Hall, Rachel Enscoe, Mark Enscoe, Erik Riggs and Victoria Riggs. She was preceded in death by her parents, Erik and Dorothy Erikson and daughter, Sharon Ahearn.
