He was preceded in death by his wife, Lola Mae (Ingwersen) Farmer and his daughter, Marci Tennison. Survivors include his sons, Jim Farmer and Michael Farmer.

A full obituary will be published as it becomes available. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, March 7, 2019, at Jones Funeral Home in Burlington, Kansas. Burial will follow in Schlichter Cemetery southeast of Burlington.

The family will meet with friends from 12:30 P.M. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
