He was born in Port Arthur, Texas on June 18, 1935 to the late, Emmett Lacy and Ruby Finley Lacy. Dr. Lacy owned a general dental practice and practiced dentistry in the area for 36 years. Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 63 years, Gay Nell Lacy; daughter, Jana Beeson of Nederland; sons, Glenn Lacy, Jr. and his wife, Elizabeth of Nederland, Dr. Trey Lacy of Nederland; grandchildren, Jennifer Grounds, Ryan Grounds, Jacey Reynolds, Allen Lacy, Amanda Lacy, Jason Lacy, Jayna Lacy and Evan Lacy; great-grandchildren, Evelyn Grounds, Grace Grounds, Henry Lacy and Emily Lacy.
