OBITUARY Dr. Wayne Nicholas Lobue July 16, 1939 – August 28, 2018 DR. WAYNE NICHOLAS LOBUE. Born July 16, 1939 passed away peacefully on August 28, 2018 surrounded by his family.

He was the beloved father of Daniel (Daphne), Paul (Xenia), Michelle, Monica (Trent), and Matthew (Emily); Grandfather to Carmen, Emily, Rachel, Isabella, CJ, Trenton, and Ryan; and friend, mentor, and teacher to many. Wayne was a retired Professor from Gilmour Academy (30+ Years), Lakeland Community College (30+ Years), and Tri-C. He possessed several degrees including a Bachelor of Arts, 3 Masters Degrees, and a Doctorate.

Wayne was an extraordinary man and was passionate about truth, a Philosopher to the core. His spiritual journey included serving as a Carmelite, volunteer Trappist Monk, and was ordained as a Buddhist Priest in 2016. His illustrious life affected many people.

He was kind, compassionate, and had immense love for his children, as well as many others. Contributions may be made in Wayne’s memory to Crooked River Zen Center or Assumption Abbey in Ava, Mo. Relatives and friends are invited to gather for the Mass of Christian Burial 2:00 PM Wednesday September 5th at Our Lady Chapel at Gilmour Academy, 2045 SOM Ctr.
