Obituary for Duane “Dewey” W. Morris Jr. Duane W. “Dewey” Morris Jr., 57, of North Huntingdon, died unexpectedly Friday July 13, 2018. He was born July 21, 1961 in Greensburg, a son of the late Duane W. Sr. and Ilene J. (Miller) Morris. Dewey was a welder and press operator and formerly worked for Wheaton & Sons Iron Fabrication.
He was an outdoorsman and loved fishing, hunting, and golfing, and helping his best friend Tom at Tom’s Taxidermy. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother in law Delbert Singler killed in action during the Vietnam War and his mother in law Dorothy Singler. He is survived by his wife Dorothy “Dee” (Singler) Morris; his daughter Tara M. Gumola; son in law Jamie Gumola; his grandchildren Talon and Teagan; his sisters Candice Ulishney (David Gilkey), Pamela Morris, and Tracy Morris (Jay Fleming); his sisters and brothers in law Jeannette (Gordon) Stoves, Nancy Waibel, David Singler, and Mary Ann (Drew) Daniels; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved pet dog Bonnie Lou.
There will be no viewing. Interment will be scheduled for a later date in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. In lieu of flowers a contribution can be made to assist the family.
