Duane Harold Long December 01, 1946 – May 04, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card| Memorial Donation Duane Harold Long, age 72, of Decker passed away Saturday, May 4, 2019 at his home. Duane was born December 1, 1946 in Sandusky to the late Avery and Muriel (Siple) Long. He married Jean Ile on June 7, 1976 in Sandusky.

Duane retired as a welder from Lapeer Industries in 2013. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. Duane is survived by his wife, Jean Long; two daughters, Tina Matson and Danay Westerby; two sons, Scott and Mike Long; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren with two more on the way; ten siblings, Don (Helen), Keith, Tom, David (Karen) and Vern (Charlotte) Long, Mary Brush, Judy (Bill) Wilczynski, Diane Long, Shirley Robinson and Norma Westley; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one son, Gary Long; one grandson, Bud Long; and two brothers, Erwin and Paul Long. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Family Discretionary Fund.
