E. Bruce Meeks, 86, of Hot Springs passed from this life on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at his home. He was born June 30, 1932 in Bismarck, AR. He was the son of Oler Meeks, Sr. and Mary (Burroughs) Meeks.

He was a lifelong educator, beginning his teaching career in Bismarck and later advancing into administration at Keokuk, IA. He received his doctorate degree from Iowa State University and moved to Saint Charles Parish as superintendent.
