Obituary for E. Jane Pollard E. Jane Pollard, 92, of Chambersburg passed away on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at Menno Haven surrounded by her family and her Pastor while they were singing “It Is Well with My Soul”. She was born September 2, 1926 in Chambersburg, the daughter of the late Ira E. and Nellie May (Burkholder) Gomer. Jane was a life member of the Salem Lutheran Church in Marion and the VFW Post # 1599 Auxiliary as well as a member of the Salvation Army Woman’s Auxiliary, Past Pres.

Unit 612 St. Thomas American Legion Aux. , Four County Past Presidents Parley. She was the secretary at the Farm Labor Office and Bartlett Tree Expert Co. and retired after 28 years at L.E.A.D.

Jane married Richard H. Pollard on Oct. 5, 1947. Surviving is her daughter, Saundra L., wife of John E. Heckman; two grandchildren: Mark B. Heckman, husband of Amy D. and Tammy J. Zook, wife of Kevin; two great grandchildren: Chase and Kendolynn Heckman; one brother, Harold F. Gomer, husband of Martha, sister, Helen I. McDonald and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Pollard (Sept 10, 1973) and two brothers: Charles E. and George R. Gomer and a brother in law, Jack McDonald. The funeral service will be held 10 a.m. on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at Salem Lutheran Church, 99 Miller Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202, with the Rev. Denise Horn officiating.

There will be a viewing at 9:30 a.m. at the church prior to the service and from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, January 21, 2019 at the W.F. Sellers Funeral Home. Burial will be in Norland Cemetery. Memorial donation may be made to: Salem Lutheran Church, 99 Miller Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202.
