Obituary for Earl Francis Redifer Easton- Earl Francis Redifer of Easton died on Tuesday, May 1st, 2018 at Talbot Hospice House surrounded by his loved ones. He was 94. Born in Baltimore, MD on October 14, 1923, he was the son of the late Earl and Marvel Redifer.

Earl attended school in Baltimore and joined the Army in January of 1942. He served in the 437th Signal Construction Battalion during World War II in Europe and Africa through 1945. Upon returning, he went to work for C&P Telephone for 38 years, retiring in 1984.

Earl’s greatest pleasure in life was people- his family, friends, strangers, anyone. He had an infectious smile, batted his eyelashes and was quick to tell those close to him that he loved them. Earl enjoyed traveling, woodworking, card playing with friends, and gardening.

Earl was predeceased by his first wife, Jane Walked Redifer who died in 1982, his parents, his sister, Audrey Gisriel who died in 1987, a grandson, Phillippe Cherbonnier who died in 1989 and a great- granddaughter, Halley Lambert who died in 1993. Earl is survived by his daughter from his first wife, Laura Dick, his second wife, Jane H. Redifer whom he married in 1983 and the 2 daughters he gained from that marriage, Brenda Brown and Audra Cherbonnier. He has 9 grandchildren Christie Woodard, Becky Mann, Rachel Koch, Dennis Messer, Amanda Stancliff, Trey, Ryan, Lexi, and Seth Cherbonnier, 6 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, a special nephew, Larry Gisriel and many other family members.

Visitation with the family will be held Friday, May 4th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Framptom Funeral Home in St. Michaels and an hour before the funeral at Oxford United Methodist Church in Oxford, MD. Funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 5th. Private burial will be at a later date.
