Earl Levi Stratmeyer October 26, 1926 – December 29, 2018 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| View Guestbook Entries| Send Sympathy Card On December 29, 2018, Earl Levi Stratmeyer departed from his earthly home, to be at Home with his Lord and Savior. Earl was born in Tea, SD on Oct. 26, 1926 to Aldrich and Katie Stratmeyer.

Earl had a keen sense of humor and love for children which is affectionately remembered by his children, grandchildren and friends. Earl married the love of his life, Marian Leafstedt to whom he affectionately referred to as “Peanut” on May 28, 1949. They enjoyed raising six children on a farm two miles East of Worthing, SD.

His love for farming carried over into retirement with his large gardens in South Dakota and fruit trees in Arizona. He shared his love for music with all. Many remember certain songs that Earl put his special touch on, which required a very special accompanist, Marian.

They were a special team for almost 70 years. Earl was preceded in death by his father and mother, two sisters: Elbertha and Jenny and a brother, John. He is survived by his wife Marian; six children: Kathy, Arlin (Stephanie), Danny, Scott (JayneAnn), Beth (Brad), and Sandy; 22 grandchildren, and 24 great grandchildren.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at Grace Bible Church in Rockerville with a lunch to follow. Inurnment will be at the Rockerville Cemetery.
