He was a self-employed nurseryman, member of the Church of Christ and son of the late Lindzey and Florence Bain Hillis. Mr. Hillis is survived by his wife, Sharon Kay Womack Hillis of McMinnville; son, Trent Gordon Hillis of McMinnville; daughter, Angela Faith Doak of McMinnville; grandchildren, Shelby L. Hillis, Lindsey Hillis, Ethan Hillis, Kayla Doak and Jeremiah Doak all of McMinnville; great-grandson, Preston Wanamaker; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Graveside service and interment will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, December 29, 2018 in Mt. View Cemetery with Ernest Cantrell to officiate. There will be no service or visitation at High’s.
