Life-long resident of Cuba, Alabama,and retired educator with the Sumter County Board of Education. He leaves his memory to be cherished by a loving wife, Sarah Jane Delaine; one daughter, Audrey Delaine Graves; three sons, Edward (Cathy) Delaine, Michael Delaine and Keith Delaine; six sisters, Annie Pearl Swan, Earnestine Pearce, Christine Delaine, Melva Lue Delaine, Patricia Foster and Diann Delaine; two brothers, Arthur Lee (Johnnie Mae) Delaine and Reverend Charles (Mattie) Delaine; six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Service of memory will be Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Zion Hill Baptist Church in Cuba, AL (5051 Kinterbish 10) with burial in Cagus Cemetery.

His body will lie in repose on Friday at Weatherly Funeral Home from 3:00 until 7:00 PM.
