Obituary for Ms. Edith Della Freddo Edith Della (Erlander) Freddo of Minneapolis, MN passed away on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at her residence at the Park Health and Rehabilitation Center nursing facility following an undiagnosed health issue. She was 63. Born on April 20, 1955, “Eadie” – as her friends and family called her – was a lifelong avid bowler and employed by Apple Place Bowl in Apple Valley, MN.
Raised in Skokie, IL, she attended Niles East High School. She lived the majority of her life in the Chicagoland area before relocating to Birmingham, AL in 2000 (where she became an Auburn fan) and then eventually settling in Minneapolis in 2009. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert R. Erlander (1908-1994) and Elizabeth J. Erlander (1918-2000).
She is survived by her brother, Kenneth Erlander (Highland Park, IL); her four children: Christine Erlander Beard (Omaha, NE); Brandy Erlander Lewis (Burnsville, MN); Wayne David Huffman (Erie, PA); and Rebecca Ann Huffman (Hallettsville, TX); and her six grandchildren: Devin Metcalf; Deven Carrier; Kiley Huffman; Austin Deshotel; Ashton Deshotel; and Shawn Deshotel, Jr. Members of Eadie’s family gathered in Minneapolis for an informal celebration of her life on June 5 & 6, 2018 following her passing.
