OBITUARY Edith Louise Frere May 28, 1931 – February 2, 2019 Edith Louise Frere, 87, of Charleston, passed away February 2, 2019 at the Hubbard Hospice House. Edith retired with over 30 years of service from Kanawha County Schools. She was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Robert E. Frere Sr. Surviving are her son, Robert Frere Jr. (Cecilia) of Inwood; daughter, Tonya Hancock (David) of Handley; siblings, Delorise Griffith (Waymon) of Barboursville, James Casto of Cross Lanes, and Mary Underwood of Melbourne, FL; grandchildren, Robert Frere III (Tracy) of Green Ridge, MO, Shialo Chaudhari (Papool) of Wiley, TX, Shannon Friend, of Elizabethtown, KY, David Hancock Jr. of Handley, and Jessica Hancock Dixon of Handley; 8 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their appreciation for the wonderful care provided by Amanda Hastings and to the Hospice nursing staff. Funeral will be 1:00pm Friday, February 8, 2019 at Tyler Mountain Funeral Home, 5233 Rocky Fork Road, Cross Lanes, WV 25313 with Reverend Michael Perry officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.

Visitation will be from 5:00pm-8:00pm Thursday, February 7, 2019 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in her memory to HospiceCare or the Alzheimer’s Association. Condolences may be sent by visiting www.
