WESTFIELD – Mrs. Edith Shelton Marshall, 90, of Westfield, NC, died Tuesday morning at home after an extended illness. Mrs. Marshall was born in Stokes County July 12, 1928 to Eric Oswald and Lizzie Coffer Shelton. She was a lifelong farmer and homemaker in the Old Orchard community and was a member of Stoney Ridge Baptist Church.

She was a much beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, friend and neighbor. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Beverly M. and Ronald Bennett of Pinnacle and Deborah M. and Andrew Smith of Westfield; and one son, Jeffrey Brian Marshall of Westfield; three grandchildren, Pamela B. and Gary Gibson, Scott and Dottie Bennett and Tara Bennett; four great-grandchildren, Keerstin, Landon, Emma and Ethan Bennett. Mrs. Marshall was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse C. Marshall; her parents; sister Lucille Shelton and brother, Bobby W. Shelton.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, May 3rd, 2019 at 2pm at Stoney Ridge Baptist Church, Westfield. The family will receive friends beginning at 1pm at the church. Burial will be at Old Orchard Primitive Baptist cemetery.
