Edmund Wells Shamleffer III, 75, of Prince Frederick, MD, passed away at his home on Saturday, May 18, 2019 surrounded by his family. He was born February 2, 1944 in Washington, DC to Edmund W. Shamleffer Jr. and Syrene [Manuel] Shamleffer. Ed was raised in Landover Hills, and graduated from Bladensburg High School in 1962.

He married Sandy Shegogue on June 24, 1967 and raised their family in Bowie, MD. Ed was employed in the printing industry for over 40 years. He and Sandy moved to Prince Frederick upon his retirement in 2008.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Carole Lacombe. He is survived by his wife, Sandy Shamleffer, daughter Cherie Martin, son Ed Shamleffer (Kathryn), grandchildren Courtney Reiber (Jared), Brittney Martin, Erin Shamleffer, Brett Shamleffer, great grandchildren Ava Grace and Sadie Mae Reiber. Family and friends will be received at Lee Funeral Home Calvert, 8200 Jennifer Lane, Owings, MD 20736 on Wednesday, May 22, from 5 until start of a Prayer Service at 7 pm.
