Edna H. Bourn, 85, of Middle River, has gone to be with her Lord, October 3, 2018. Edna Hollins Bourn was born to Canie and Lyla Hollins, October 27, 1932 in Morrill, Kansas. She was one of 8 children, two brothers and five sisters.

She graduated from Franklin High School in Westminster and took a clerical position at the Glenn L. Martin Company in Middle River. Edna married Robert C. Bourn, Sr., October 18, 1952. She was a homemaker until 1963 when she began working at Es Community College in the office of the Dean of Students and later for the College President.

In 1993 she retired after 30 years. A committed Christian, Edna was an active member of Middle River Baptist Church. Edna taught children in Sunday School and in Vacation Bible School for 48 years and served on many committees.

She was a founding member of the Middle River Community Clothes Closet and it is named in her honor. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Bourn, Sr. Edna is survived by her children, Robert C. Bourn, Jr. and wife Carol; Rebecca B. Blankenship and husband Gregory, Sr. Grandchildren, Gregory C. Blankenship, Jr., Matthew C. Bourn, Michelle M. Blankenship Huebel and husband Ryan. Great Grandchildren, Hayden E. Huebel and Wyatt J. Huebel.
